Doodling during traffic school. The greatest 8 hrs of my life, all thanx to the department of ex-football players/practicing rapists, known as the Fremont police. RD: When did you start painting??
WAY$HAK: been drawing since a kid...the painting thing started maybe 8 or 9 yrs ago? something like that. it's a bitch.
RD: Where are you from??
WAY$HAK: milpitas, california. a little shithole burb next to san jose filled with small timers that think they're players. they're all bullshitters.
RD: Main art influences??
WAY$HAK: transformers the movie(1987), greg ginn, barron storey, kaiya lynn, charles schultz, harlan ellison, rick berry, wrest, varg vikernes, crispin glover...too many to name.
RD: Do you have to get in the "zone" to paint, or do you just jump right into it??
WAY$HAK: the "zone" is for posers who don't know their shit...you just work and it either comes out decent, or it sucks ass. i don't really worry about it.
RD: What kind of Music do you listen to??
WAY$HAK: basically, everyone should just listen to leviathan and noothgrush.
RD: How did you develop your stylle??
WAY$HAK: basically, just masturbate onto a piece of black construction paper and draw what you see. kind of like a rorschach test, except a little messier, especially if you miss.
RD: Do you have any crazy art gallery moments??
WAY$HAK: yeah, some jackass wanted to give me money for a painting. it was wild, man!
RD: Whats your biggest accomplishment in terms of Art??
WAY$HAK: getting people to believe that the work is worth anything...the scam is working so far.
RD: Do people ever send you pictures of tattoos of your work??
WAY$HAK: yeah...it's usually a picture of the fuckin cat drawing i did 4 yrs ago that will haunt me for the rest of my life.
RD: What do you think of porn??
WAY$HAK: it's ok.
